This is even more important in the context of delivering on the requirements in the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act and the work needed to inform and support recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.The NHS Wales Delivery Unit (DU) provides professional support to Welsh Government to monitor and manage performance delivery across NHS Wales. A key role is to support the Welsh Government’s Health & Social Services Group in relation to strengthening and improving planning capability and capacity across the whole system.Do you have the skills, knowledge and capability to lead and support strategic, integrated planning and recovery within NHS Wales? Do you have extensive senior experience of service modernisation and managing change? Can you engage proactively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside the NHS?This role offers the opportunity for a talented individual to further develop their skills, experience, knowledge and leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will gain experience in a wide range of healthcare settings, influencing and delivering real change for the benefit of citizens in Wales. There will be opportunities to work with Welsh Government colleagues and be involved with national processes and policy development.Key areas of work will be to inform the further development and maturity of the Integrated Medium Term Planning cycle and also support the implementation of the National Clinical Framework.You will have specialist strategic and operational planning expertise, excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills, be able to apply your experience in complex situations and have worked in a variety of healthcare roles. You will need to be able to engage and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders, including executive leads and clinicians. Experience in Project management in the NHS would be desirable, although not essential. The post is based in Bocam park, Pencoed, home working is also possible.
