We are recruiting Part Time Care workers to join our passionate and committed team at Plas Bryn Rhosyn Older Persons Residential Care Home in Neath.

This is a 36 hour, full time, permanent position or 2 x 18 hour part time positions..

This Care Worker job is based at Plas Bryn Rhosyn; a 59 bed residential care home on Dwr y Felin Road, Neath. It boasts an excellent reputation as being a quality and valued care provider where the needs of the residents are at the centre of all that we do.

How can I make a difference?

As a care worker, you will work with the residents closely on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full. You will assist them with all of their needs (including personal care) according to their wishes. Becoming a friend and having fun with them is one of the most important parts of the role.

Day to day duties include:

Ensuring health and wellbeing of residents.
Providing personal care and emotional support.
Medication administration.
Participating in stimulating activities.
Involving residents in a person-centred approach.
What skills and experience do you need?

A background of working with people with Older persons is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.  More important are;

A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player

Key Information; For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

 What are the pay and benefits?

£11.05 per hour, which calculates to a salary of £20,685.60 based on a 36 hours Full time equivalent.
