We are looking for a Casual Relief Worker to work in the community with our team in Ceredigion.

Community Connections is a service provided by a dedicated team across the county to support individuals of varying ages with learning disabilities (and their families) within their own homes and out in the community. Support will be varied and can include:

Helping people manage their bills
Shopping for groceries
Staying fit and active through activities such as swimming
Attending events and socialising within the community
Helping individuals learn new skills
This role will also require running virtual workshops online, social media management and helping people supported to build and maintain relationships through digital platforms. The successful candidate will therefore need to have excellent IT skills.

Registration – All Social Care Staff will need to be registered with Social Care Wales and have or be working towards the relevant training and qualification. If you are not already registered, you must do so within 6 months of employment. We will support you to register and cover costs.
Qualification – You will need to achieve a relevant qualification in Health and Social Care – we will support you with this and will cover costs.

Please not that to remain on the Company’s CRW pool it is a specific requirement that you work at least 13 shifts every quarter/13-week period. As a CRW it is also highly likely that you will be picking up ad-hoc shifts that generally by their very nature are more unsociable hours of work, e.g. working weekends, evening’s, bank holidays etc.

If you join mirus you’ll be classed as a key worker. So when you start work you will offered an opportunity to be vaccinated as part of the national COVID-19 vaccine programme.
