Ty Clyd Residential Home currently has a vacancy for one Kitchen Assistant to work 12 hours per week. The successful candidate will assist the cook to prepare and cook meals, assist with the serving of food and manage the kitchen area in accordance with Caerphilly County Borough Council policies and Health and Safety guidelines.

 

The post holder will also ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are cleaned to a high standard.

 

You will also be able to assist in the preparation of a large quantity of meals in a professional catering environment, maintaining cleanliness and high standards of hygiene and have knowledge of the Food Safety Act and Food Safety Regulations.  Ideally you will have experience of working in a care setting along with knowledge of dietary requirements of older people.
