EYST Wales is an award-winning and unique, beneficiary-led voluntary organisation supporting ethnic minority young people, individuals and families across Wales. A vacancy has arisen for a part-time male Family Support Worker to deliver the Orientation Service for the Refugee Resettlement Programme on behalf of Pembrokeshire County Council. This service delivers an orientation and resettlement service to refugee families resettled to Pembrokeshire under the Home Office Resettlement Programme. We are looking to recruit a Male Family Support Worker working 17.5 hours a week (in Year 1) for a salary of £10,500 -£12.000 per annum dependent on experience (£21,000 to £24.000 pro rata). The successful post holder will be skilled in supporting vulnerable people, a car owner/driver, the ability to speak and understand Arabic is also desirable but not essential. We will also consider and actively encourage secondments to the post – (if applying as a secondment please ensure you have your employer’s agreement before applying). This is currently funded until February 2024, although hours will reduce to 14 hours per week in Year 2 and 10 hours per week in Year 3.
