We are looking for an engaging, motivated and proactive Manager to join our supported accommodation service team in Swansea. Cam Nesaf provides a 24-hour temporary housing support in the Swansea area for young people aged between 16 and 21 years old. You could be manging this service and working with these incredible individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to move onto independent sustainable accommodation.

What is great about the role?
Cam Nesaf provides a housing solution to young people aged between 16 and 21 who have often led very difficult lives. Often, they have spent their childhood and adolescence in Local authority care, experiencing many changes of home environment including different residential and foster homes. We support Young People to develop their independent living skills with the aim to move on into independent accommodation.
You would manage a team of Floating Support Workers and Scheme Support Officers who deliver the crucial support to our clients within a 24-hour support setting. Your role will be essential in overseeing this support and ensuring assessments that are made during the clients stay at Cam Nesaf lead to positive move on and that the quality is of the highest standard.
Cam Nesaf delivers support within a Psychologically informed environment and the service runs in line with Pobl’s policies and procedures.

This is a permanent position for 37 hours per week
Working days are predominately Monday to Friday but as the scheme is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week, you would need to ensure adequate cover is provided at all times and you will also be required to be on call on some weekends and deal with any emergencies or incidents
For this role you are required to drive and have access to a vehicle, and you will also require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

Day to Day Duties:
As a Manager you will oversee and are responsible for, the scheme, the employees and the people we support.
Your day will consist of:
• Managing, leading, and developing your Floating Support Workers and Scheme Support Officers
• Engaging and interacting with the people we support
• Managing challenging behaviours
• Dealing with any incidents that arise
• Building relationships and liaising with local neighbourhoods, businesses, commissioners, and council
• Making decisions to achieve the best outcome for the people we support, our employees, the scheme and Pobl
• Managing risk within the scheme
• Managing the schemes budget, addressing performance issues with employees, and the recruitment of any vacancies
