We are looking for full time and part time Support Workers to join an exciting new service in RCT.

This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference to people’s lives and be part of the development of a brand new service.

We are particularly interested in interviewing people with experience of working with people with autism, and challenging behaviour

We provide support to people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, older people, people with Autism and physical disabilities. We do that in a number of ways from providing 24-hour support within their own homes, to providing shorter, more focused support to assist with individual tasks or care needs, which are often determined in conjunction with Social Services.

The support we provide is person centred and focusses on enabling people to achieve their goals, aspirations and the things that really matter to them. We ensure people maintain their wellbeing and play an active role in their local communities. Building positive relationships with peers is essential .

We have 2 exciting services that we are recruiting support workers for, we are looking for energetic, active staff to work with people supported in their own flats, who have a range of support needs. People supported enjoy engaging in socialising in their local community and further afield when possible going to concerts along with learning and developing new skills & hobbies within their home setting . The ideal candidates must be very patient and understanding and be prepared to adapt their working styles to work across other settings.

In the second setting the young man will benefit from support from staff who use the Positive Behaviour Support approach, and have an understanding of inclusive communication and autism approaches. we are looking for energetic, active and experienced staff who understand the need for a consistent approach while supporting

What we can offer you:

Flexible shift patterns which can be discussed at interview
Working as part of supportive team
£62.64 per shift for working a sleeping in shift
An hourly rate of up to £8.89

Full paid training and support to achieve QCF qualifications

What we expect from you:

A commitment to enabling people to live fulfilled and independent lives both within their homes and the wider community.
A flexible approach to work and the willingness and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and also sleep in and wake in shifts
A full clean valid UK driving licence and a car with business insurance, as you will be required to use your car for work purposes.
Have a commitment to work towards a QCF in Health and Social Care
