We are looking for a positive and fun-loving individual to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Support Living service in Chepstow.
There is a permanent role available for 20 hours per week.
You will be working with these incredible individuals to enhance their various skills, providing them with emotional support and support with daily activities when required.

What is the role?
This service has great success in further developing the skills and confidence of individuals to enable them to move on to independent living. You will be supporting 4 very active and independent individuals who share a house in Chepstow and two people living independently in their flats within the area. All individuals supported have learning disabilities and enjoy an element of paid work and contribute to the community.
Duties Include:
• Supporting Individuals with their Individual needs.
• Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities.
• Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties.
• Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working.
• Stock checking Individuals Medications and Finances.
• The individuals in this service are very active and have many outdoor interests. As their Support Worker you will be required to support them with these activities which will require a level of fitness.

What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
• A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
• An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
• A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
• A full manual UK Driving Licence is required for this role

We provide all training required to successfully deliver the role and you will have access to a bespoke learning pathway with the support of an experienced Learning & Development team.

We also have an incredible Wellbeing team who are available for you to access along with mindfulness sessions and the chance to be involved in other fun activities.
We pay for an Enhanced DBS check which is a requirement for the role.
We pay a 20% enhancement for waking nights from 11pm to 7am and pay time & half for all bank holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day which will be double time. Midnight to midnight.
In addition, you will get every other weekend off and there are possibilities to work additional hours if you choose.
