About the jobAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cardiff's Adult Services Social Work Team.
Wales's vibrant capital city offers you the opportunity to work within the largest and most diverse community in Wales. Our Adult Services teams support over 5000 individuals and offer a wide range of professional opportunities for both newly qualified and experienced Social Workers.

What We Are Looking For From YouWe are looking for qualified Social Workers early into your career and looking to gain further experience within Cardiff Council. As the successful candidate you will be able to work independently and manage your time. You will be able to show you have excellent skills in assessment and the ability to write concise records and reports. You will be a good team player, have excellent communication, organisation skills and IT skills. A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Care Wales are essential for this role.
You will be supported by an experienced social worker who will offer mentorship and guidance on your cases and will support your career development within the team.
You will have a commitment to supporting older people and those with physical disabilities and to working in a strength-based, preventative way, providing the support needed to enable them to achieve what matters to them.
You will have a strong and demonstrable commitment to strength-based approaches, a dedication to working in an outcome-focussed way and a keen interest in your on-going professional development, striving for excellence.
You will be committed to working in a way that promotes equality and inclusion for all our citizens.
A degree in Social Work or equivalent Social Work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales are essential for this role.
