0:32that we can help and enrich their lives
0:34Gareth and medrin had lived at home with
0:37their parents their mum wanted to see
0:39them settled and when PSS approached me
0:43about having them she was really pleased
0:46because they could stay in the village I
0:49wish Welsh speaking they were familiar0:51with me Gareth and myself had been in
0:54the same class in school
0:55the qualities that we look for is
0:57somebody that has empathy somebody's
0:59big-hearted open-minded genuine1:03professional the job is rewarding it's
1:05flexible you get to work from home you
1:07get to meet new and old carers and you
1:10fully supported they will be fully
1:12trained they will have a manager they'll
1:14have their own development worker who
1:16will do regular visits with them they'll
1:18get to meet new carers and existing
1:20carers so they will have a lot of
1:22support
1:23people describe their shared lives to me
1:25that they receive the support that they
1:27need to be able to live independently it
1:29boosts their confidence they get to make
1:31friends they also get to meet new carers
1:34and all carers in events that we hold
1:36they get to live as independently as
1:38possible as part of a community
