Children's Residential Support Worker

We are currently recruiting Children’s Community & Residential Support Workers who would be working with children and young people to meet their physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural needs within the service. Within your role, you will help children within the homes through aiding the services with routines and boundaries through the individuals personal plan to provide them with positive experiences and memories.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 months experience in the same role, great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills as well as initiative to help the amazing teams of staff in the various services we support.

With this position, we currently have contracts with children's homes and projects all around the Swansea area which will enable you to pick up shifts/blocks of shifts in a variety of homes. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with younger individuals. Some of the children you come into contact with may have physical or learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism, ADHD or a number of medical ailments.

Monday to Friday : £15.00ph / £16.81*

Wakeful Nights : £19.50ph / £21.85*

Saturday & Sunday : £19.50ph

Sleep Ins : £60

Bank Holiday: £22.50ph- £29.25ph

*We offer holiday pay that is accrued based on the number of hours worked. If you do decide you do not want to accept holiday pay, we can add 12.1% to each of the hourly rates above!

For example: £15.00 per hour + 12.1% =£16.81 per hour or £19.50 per hour + 12.1% =£21.85 per hour

The successful candidate must;

Must be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.

Have a minimum of 6 months experience working in the same environment or with children within the UK.

Transferable DBS is also preferred but we can apply for one on your behalf if needed.

** To be eligible for the £300 sign on bonus you MUST have Level 3 Health & Social Care (CHILDRENS)
