Apprentice (Level 2) role you will
learn to assist the team with activities to encourage engagement and participation with children, young people, parents and carers. This will involve: helping to organise training and events, creating feedback surveys and collating results, maintaining accurate records, preparation of reports and other documents and general administration. You will also learn to positive relationships with children, young people, parents, carers, and external partners and follow Safeguarding Policies and Processes - full training in all aspects of the role will be provided.
To support your development, you will also undertake a Welsh Government Apprenticeship Framework Qualification in Youth Work at Level 2 in the role as a minimum and will receive on the job training and supervision to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer focussed manner. You will also be supported by a named mentor who will encourage you to develop a range of transferrable skills to support your career progression.
Many of our teams work online with a mix of home or hybrid (office) working. Where homeworking is required, you will be given the necessary equipment and training, however, you will need to arrange your own internet connectivity (support may be available to help with this).
Core working hours will be Monday to Friday, working 8.30am- 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30-4.30pm on Friday. Flexible working will be available and you may also be required to work occasionally outside of usual working hours.

Although we cannot guarantee that you will go on to secure a further role at the end of the initial contract, you will be supported and encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities available within our organisation to help progress your career.
