Role Overview: As the Deputy Manager, you will report directly to the Home Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance within the home. You will lead the clinical team, providing strong leadership, guidance, and support to achieve excellence in all areas of resident care, including relationship-centered, clinical, and dementia care.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide strong clinical leadership and management to the clinical team, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. • Motivate and support team members to deliver exceptional care to residents. • Assist in care planning, implementation, and evaluation processes. • Participate in audits and continuously seek opportunities for service improvement. • Contribute to the selection and onboarding of new team members. • Maintain effective communication with external agencies and stakeholders. • Manage resources efficiently and monitor clinical standards. • Ensure all team members receive up-to-date training and support. • Supervise induction and ongoing training of new staff. • Maintain high standards of record-keeping and confidentiality. • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and risk assessments. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote holistic care. • Support the Home Manager in various management tasks and on-call duties. • Provide professional advice and support to nursing and care staff. • Assist in medication management and ensure compliance with medication competencies. • Support Human Resources functions as needed.
Requirements: • Valid NMC Pin. • Strong leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proven experience in clinical leadership within a healthcare setting. • Commitment to upholding high standards of care and compliance.
