Your Responsibilities
As a Domiciliary Healthcare Assistant, you will:
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes.
- Support with personal care, including washing, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Assist with meal preparation and daily living activities.
- Support individuals with mobility and maintaining independence.
- Provide companionship, emotional support and reassurance.
- Assist with medication in accordance with training, care plans and company policies.
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns.
- Promote dignity, respect, choice and wellbeing.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of care.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- A valid driving licence and access to a car for work are essential, as the role involves travelling between clients' homes.
- A caring, compassionate and patient attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, honesty and professionalism.
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and pre-employment checks.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker or Home Care Worker.
- Relevant health and social care qualifications.
- Experience supporting elderly or vulnerable individuals.
