Expressive Arts Pedagogical Lead - Cwmbran High School

The successful candidate would possess a degree in Performing Arts, drama or music based subject or equivalent. They must also have thorough understanding of developments in the teaching of the expressive arts, exceptional understanding and awareness of a range of high-quality teaching and learning styles and be an excellent classroom practitioner, and to impact on rapid pupil progress.

The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding of current educational changes in Wales and recognise the opportunities the new Curriculum for Wales enables.

It is desirable that the candidate has recent experience of teaching and leading an expressive arts based subject and can competently demonstrate an improvement in the last 3 years with outstanding outcomes.

It is vital that the candidate possess an excellent understanding of strategies for raising standards and pupil progress and recognise that pupil achievement across a faculty stems from inspirational leadership and excellent grasp of pedagogy.
