Residential Support Worker £23,998 + sleep-ins (£55 per night)
Thinking about a career change? Never worked in care before? Experience in residential care, youth work or similar is desirable, but what matters most to us is a genuine commitment to making a difference — we welcome applicants with transferable skills from all walks of life. Whoever you are and whatever your background, as a Disability Confident employer we'll make sure you're given a fair chance and the support to build a real career with us.
Every young person who comes to live in one of our homes has their own story — and our job is to help them write a better next chapter. We're a small, close-knit team running children's residential homes in Llanelli and Swansea, supporting young people aged 7 to 18 across South Wales. We use the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to build trust, and our own therapeutic programme, My Journey Matters, delivered by team members each young person knows and trusts. We also work alongside a behavioural psychologist from Studio 3, and partner with specialist tutors so education and independence grow hand in hand with emotional support.
Our vision is simple: to stand for better in children's care, through relationship-based, trauma-informed homes where young people feel safe, valued, and ready for brighter tomorrows.
We're now looking for a Residential Support Worker to join one of our homes — someone who wants to be a steady, trusted presence for a young person, not just a job title. You'll be part of a small, closely supported team who take accountability and good practice seriously, because the children in our care deserve nothing less.
To be considered, you'll need to be 21 or over, hold a full UK manual driving licence, and already have the right to work in the UK, as we're not able to offer visa sponsorship. You'll need to be willing to work towards your Level 2 core and Level 3 practice qualification in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People), be able to work shift patterns including sleep-ins, and be happy working on-site, in person. These are essential requirements, so we're not able to shortlist anyone who doesn't meet all of them.
Interviews will be held on 10th September 2026.
