We are looking for difference makers in our Supported Living Care services in Caerphilly Borough covering the Blackwood, Risca, and Ystrad Mynach area.
A Support Worker (Relief) role is fully flexible, working day, night and weekend shifts. You will feel the reward of building lasting and trusting relationships with those you support. The role will develop your communication and interpersonal skills, as well as your knowledge and networks within the support work role.
Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service, a full UK manual driving licence and access to a car is required.

What is the role?
As Support Worker (Relief) you will be working with incredible individuals to support with day to day independence, enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support

You could be joining the people we support in going on long walks in the countryside, dancing to music, watching films, and going out and about in the community or to visit loved ones. By being part of this team, you would play an influential role in enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling and independent lives and see first-hand how you make a difference to them.

You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including:
Medication administration Cooking skills and other household skills Some personal care needs Accessing the community and supporting to local groups Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities such as walking/hiking Being a team player and having good communication skills Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard Supporting individuals to budget finances Providing companionship to the people we support through talking about their interests and wellbeing Having fun by encouraging the supported individuals to take part in activities that enhance their life skills and promote independence Take the people we support out and about therefore a full manual driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working Supporting Individuals with their individual needs What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;

An hourly rate of £12.15 Sleep in rate - £64.62 Wakeful night rate - £12.5 + 20% Night rate of 1.5 x hourly rate.
