The Mountains Nursing Home is looking for a confident and compassionate Clinical Lead Nurse to join our leadership team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys supporting teams, maintaining high clinical standards, and delivering person-centred care in a supportive nursing home environment.
This role combines hands-on nursing with clinical leadership, allowing you to remain involved in resident care while helping guide and support the wider team.

Located in the stunning Brecon Beacons in Libanus, The Mountains Nursing Home provides high-quality nursing care for older adults, including individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and mental health needs.
Our home offers a peaceful setting with ensuite bedrooms and beautiful views of Pen-y-Fan, creating a calm and welcoming environment for both residents and staff.

The Role
As Clinical Lead Nurse, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the clinical leadership of the home and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
You will lead by example, supporting and mentoring the team while maintaining strong clinical oversight.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing clinical leadership across the home Supporting staff to deliver safe, high-quality care Taking charge of shifts and guiding the nursing and care teams Supporting supervision, mentoring and staff development Overseeing assessments, care planning and clinical documentation Ensuring medication management meets NMC guidance Working closely with GPs, mental health teams and other healthcare professionals Supporting CIW compliance and regulatory standards Participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives Taking part in the on-call rota What We’re Looking For
Essential
✔ Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD) with active NMC PIN ✔ Previous experience working within a care home or similar clinical environment ✔ Strong clinical knowledge and care planning experience ✔ Ability to lead, support and motivate a team ✔ Good understanding of safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and regulatory standards
Desirable
✔ Level 5 Leadership / Management qualification ✔ Knowledge of CIW / RISCA regulations ✔ Experience supporting dementia or mental health care ✔ Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
