Job Title: Deputy Team Manager Location of post: Fairways, Sandfields, Port Talbot Is this post a secondment? NO Workstyle : Hybrid working is supported, however an office presence is expected in line with the needs of the service
About the role: Are you ready to take the next step in your social work career? We are looking for a dynamic and committed Deputy Team Manager to help lead our Port Talbot Community Childrens Team with energy, compassion, and purpose. In this pivotal role, you will support the Team Manager in delivering a high-quality, responsive service to children and families across Port Talbot and Briton Ferry. You will work with children in need of care and support, those in need of protection, and looked-after children ensuring that every child receives the best possible outcomes in line with current legislation, policy, and best practice.
Some of What You will Be Doing
• Providing professional leadership and guidance to Social Workers and Support Workers. • Managing a small caseload of complex cases to stay connected to frontline practice. • Supporting the development and delivery of our service to maintain excellence. • Helping shape a culture of learning, support, and continuous improvement.
