Our aim is to create an Anglesey that is healthy and prosperous, where families can thrive.
Overall job purpose The Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 places a duty on Local Authorities to provide a preventative approach to the delivery of wellbeing to its citizens. To enable us to improve our response to this duty; we are establishing a new team that will provide intensive and rapid support to families with the aim of strengthening resilience, preventing family breakdown and promoting change so that the family environment is a safe one. The Resilient Families Team will aim to: • Work intensively with families to keep their children out of care. • Work intensively with families for reunification within 8 weeks of the child becoming cared for. • Work intensively with identified families for the reunification of their children who are currently in care and for whom a return home has been identified as a long term permanency plan.
