Family Intervention Worker - Duty & Assessment Job information Post No. POSN003702 - Family Intervention Worker
We are looking to recruit a full time Family Intervention Worker to join our Safeguarding Hub on a permanent basis.
This is to assist the Safeguarding HUB in making positive contributions to transform the lives of the families we work with. You will work within a service focused on person-centred and strength based approaches committed to achieving Wellbeing outcomes that enable families to safely live together. The role will be a mix of office based and visiting/supporting the families of Newport.
You will be highly motivated, focused on providing high quality, timely and effective short term interventions to children "at risk" or "in need of care and support" in the community. You will be part of a highly supportive environment and have good access to training and development opportunities.
We are seeking inspirational and a dynamic family intervention worker who is able to make positive contributions to transform the lives of the families we work with.
Training for the role will be provided alongside regular supervision and an induction to work at Newport City Council. You must have good IT skills, be able to use a computer and have good literacy and professional social skills.
