This post sits within our Children & Family teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join the current team of Family Intervention Workers on a part time basis. The teams work alongside families to support care planning for children and young people. Building on a successful model of family intervention via a 'family focused' approach, that is based on strengths- based practice, we now want to recruit Family Intervention Workers to join our locality social work teams.
We are looking for applicants who want to undertake programmes of work with families with the aim of children and young people being able to experience positive parenting, where they are able to remain and thrive in their families care.
Based in the Locality teams who will be supporting families subject to Children Looked After, Care and Support (CASP) and Child Protection procedures. You will be working alongside social work practitioners and in collaboration with other agencies to effect change
We will provide training in relation to the model and programmes of work that we wish you to undertake. You will receive peer support from experienced practitioners and have access to regular supervision.
