Are you passionate about safeguarding children and promoting equality in education? Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding and Equalities Officer to join our dynamic Children & Family Services (Education) directorate. This is a pivotal role supporting schools and education establishments to ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, equalities responsibilities, and training requirements.
We are looking for somebody who:

• has a strong understanding of safeguarding and equalities legislation and best practice
• can work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including schools, social care, police, and health services
• is confident in providing advice, training, and support to senior leaders and governing bodies
• has experience in attending and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding forums
• is committed to continuous professional development and promoting a culture of safety and inclusion
