MyST is a therapeutic service for looked-after children who are at risk of being placed in out-of-area residential or institutional care due to their complex emotional and mental health needs. MyST provides intensive support including the recruitment, training and specialised support of therapeutic foster carers. This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Therapeutic Practitioner to become part of our well-established service, ensuring the provision of a responsive, high quality and outcome focused service to children, young people, their families and partner agencies across Torfaen. You will be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic intervention and support to children, young people, carers and families.

A professional qualification in health, social care, youth and community work, teaching or a recognised therapy qualification with appropriate professional UKCP registration is also required for this role.
