About the jobThe Kinship and SGO Assessment Team are looking to recruit a Principal Social Worker. This is a non-case holding role within a developing and growing service area.
Within this role you will have the opportunity to be part of strategic planning and development whilst retaining a level of involvement within day to day practice matters. Your role will focus on quality assurance work for assessments submitted from internal and external assessors. You will lead in quality and performance for the kinship service and be able to develop training briefings and session to improve quality of service provided.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape practice and performance in the team, whilst contributing towards service delivery and standards of practice. You will support the Service Manager and the team in delivering tailored support services for Kinship foster carers and a high quality service.

What We Are Looking For From YouYou will supervise staff and have opportunities to work closely with other agencies to develop services for foster carers and improve quality of assessments in respect of potential applicants. You will work closely with the Panel advisor to ensure consistent approval processes are in place.
Children's Services enables its staff to work flexibly and provides the equipment to work in an Agile Mobile way.
