IOS Care are growing rapidly, we require two senior domiciliary care assistants to work in Cardiff. We provide care and support to vulnerable adults who live in their own homes and are looking for two experienced staff members to join our team.
Duties will include:- train and mentor new care staff, provide a high level of care and support to our service users, initial assessments, report directly to the registered manager, spot checks and administering medication.
We will:- provide you with full training, a QCF level 3,4 or 5 in Health and Social Care, ongoing support, a uniform, company pension and an excellent rate of pay.
The successful candidate will:- be an experienced carer with a driving license and car.
IOS Care will support the successful candidates in achieving promotion to supervisory and managerial positions in the future. We will also consider part time applicants for this post.
General To work within the Policies & Procedures of IOS Care. To work in a way that promotes the independence, privacy, dignity and choice of service users and to support their social, cultural and religious needs at all times. To maintain confidentiality at all times, adhering to the agency policy on confidentiality. To be aware at all times of Health & Safety requirements and report any concerns to IOS Care immediately. To pay special attention to the Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Whistle Blowing policies and the safe administration of medication policy and act accordingly on any concerns or incidents. To work in a way that promotes equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
Responsibilities / Tasks To work within individual Service User’s homes and in the community as appropriate to the Service User’s needs. To ensure that the care provided is in line with the Service Delivery Plan and any Risk Assessments. To prepare meals and drinks where necessary. To provide appropriate domestic support such as light housework where necessary. To check, maintain, monitor and report keep clear and accurate records in the Daily Report Book including records of financial transactions. To report any concerns, problems or changes to the Care Co-ordinator or Registered Manager immediately. To check, maintain, monitor and report high standards of hygiene and safety by using protective clothing, waste bags etc. as appropriate. To check, maintain, monitor and report a safe and reliable service ensuring that you arrive on time and provide the care outlined in the Service Delivery Plan and that you inform the Care Co-ordinator of any lateness or absences such as sickness, holidays etc. To submit an accurate and signed timesheet and expenses form for each assignment. To maintain and monitor any reasonable task identified by the Registered Manager / Care Co-ordinator To check and maintain update designated Service delivery plans and reviews with individuals and their families. To spot check designated activities with individuals and staff members and record accordingly. To Quality assure designated service provision and to complete a face to face quality assurance with the individual and recording information gathered accordingly.
Training & Personal Development You must attend and pass all mandatory training to comply with CIW requirements and any other identified training to meet the needs of the Service User. You must attend quarterly staff meetings, supervision once every 3 months as arranged by the Domiciliary Care Co-ordinator and participate in an annual appraisal. You must attend all relevant training pertinent to your role as senior support worker Meet regularly with your coordinator to report, feedback and review services.
