Pay Details: Grade 9 - £39,186 - £43,421

Hours of Work - 37

Working Pattern: f/t Monday to Friday

Main Place of Work: Canolfan Ty Jenner

An exciting post has become available for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work with the Occupational Therapy and Child Health and Disability Teams. The role will involve working with children who have complex needs and require assessment for equipment and adaptations to their homes. Experience of working with children in an Occupational Therapy role and knowledge of specialist equipment and routes for adaptations is desirable.

About you
You will need-

• Current registration with the health professions council


• A degree or diploma in occupational therapy


• A minimum of three years postgraduate experience, at least two of which have been in social services.

• Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the effects of illness and disability


• And ability to work as a team player with well-developed skills in a social services setting


• A working knowledge of and ability to apply legislation and local criteria


• Evidence of continuing professional development ( CPD)


• Consolidated and up to date skills in relation to manual handling assessment intervention and evaluation


• Will be able to evidence assessment intervention and evaluation skills in occupational therapy


• Have the ability to work with families in distress in a reliable tactful and sensitive way


• Have a willingness to learn by reflecting on working practice
