An exciting opportunity has arisen for the part time post of Social Work Lead Practitioner within Adult Services. The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership, professional advice and consultation to staff in respect of the Mental Capacity Act (including the Mental Capacity Amendment Act), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Mental Health Act 1983 amended 2007, and will support learning and understanding of the Mental Health Act 2025.
You will need to be an Approved Mental Health Professional, and able to support the AMHP rota.
You will work closely with team managers, legal team and the group managers to ensure that practice within Adults Services is of a high standard, and compliant with legislation.
The successful candidate must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and an AMHP qualification\/warrant. They need to have knowledge of current legislative and social care practice issues.
