As a Support Worker in Llanaelhaearn, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.
We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.
Location: Llanaelhaearn, Gwynedd
Hours: Part time 16 hours per week, some weekend work no sleep ins
Salary: £12.74 per hour
Contract: Permanent
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you’ll actively support individuals in making their own choices and set their own goals. Clwb Cartrefi currently has 10 people we support in our day service and 1 client home care but the service is building and we are very excited about this. We take clients out into the community to do community based activities. We focus on nurturing and developing life skills and social skills. Activities include trips to the local cafes, cinema, cooking sessions, craft sessions, and trips to tourist attractions. Our person centred approach means any activity that the person we support is interested in we will try to facilitate for them.
At Clwb Cartrefi we run weekly cooking sessions where clients can learn skills in the kitchen and work along side other clients forming invaluable friendships. We have a craft and sensory room where we hold activities including monthly bingo sessions. Clwb Cartrefi are looking for individuals who have a great work ethic, a sense of fun and someone who can work autonomously as well as fit into a fast growing team.

have patience and empathy can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity have strong communication and teamwork skills are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning have a full driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities.
