Compassion practices – supporting you and your teams
If you are a leader in social care, early years and child care join us at an introduction session on Friday 31 March 10.30am -12pm via Zoom.
Compassion and compassionate leadership have many benefits for individuals and organisations.
Compassionate workplaces have been positively linked to personal and work-related outcomes, including:
- Positive emotions (at an individual, team and organisational level).
- Increased psychological wellbeing.
- A decrease in job-related stress and being happier and more committed to work
Compassion practices may be helpful to you as leaders, both to support your own self-care, and to learn approaches to use with your teams.
The aim of this session is to:
- raise awareness of the case for compassion in the workplace
- provide you with a taster of some practical tools available to you to introduce compassion practice in your organisation
- give you information about a further learning opportunity (five monthly sessions) to give you the skills to incorporate compassion practices into your daily business
This session and the further learning opportunity will be run by Benna Waites, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, who has extensive experience of working with leaders in the public sector and is one of the three co-founders of compassionpractices.net
